Crimes, crooked cops, comely dames and chthonic cults…
Fatale covers it all.

One of the most eagerly awaited titles for Conspiracy Comics staff, Fatale met and exceeded our expectations. Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips have once again combined their literary and artistic talents to create a tale that is dark and darkly humourous, sexy and suspenseful; offering subtle hints of the mysterious horrors to come.

The characters are compelling; particularly Josephine, the tough, sultry and seemingly immortal femme fatale featured on the A cover. We can’t wait to meet the tommy gun toting, tentacle-headed gangster menacing us from the B cover!

The artwork is atmospheric and appropriately moody thanks to the colour palette of Dave Stewart, a last-minute but very welcome addition to the team.

Bonus features include an article by Brubaker on the genesis of Fatale, and an excellent essay by Jess Nevins explaining the legacy of H.P. Lovecraft, the most influential horror writer of the 20th century.
